2010 Children's Show: “The Jungle Book”
Based on the Rudyard Kipling story, adapted by Tim Kelly
July 29, 31, August 6 & 7, at 10:00 AM
Students will adore this wonderfully imaginative and creative participation play! Mowgli is a jungle boy raised by wolves. He lives in the bush with his good friends Baloo, the bear, Bagheera, the panther and Kaa, the python snake. His mortal enemy is Shere Khan, a man-eating tiger. Shere Khan wants to rule the jungle, and it's up to Mowgli to defeat him. Students participate by portraying silly monkeys, helpful elephants, wolves, reptiles, bees and even a tropical storm! The play also contains a message about the importance of ecology.
