2013 Technical Intern Program
Cortland Rep has four technical interns in our summer program:
- Scenic Shop Intern: This intern has the opportunity to work with a professional Technical Director and Scenic Designers, as well as Assistant TD and two Carpenters. He/She will work building and installing all the sets for our mainstage and children’s productions and learn many “tricks of the trade” from our professional theatrical personnel.
- Assistant Stage Manager: (Position filled for 2013) The ASM will act as the Stage Manager for our children’s show, and will assist on all our mainstage shows, attending rehearsals and working backstage.
- Costume Shop Intern: (Position filled for 2013) This intern has the opportunity to work with our professional Designers and Assistants, taking part in the build of all the costumes for our entire season.
- Properties Intern: (Position filled for 2013) This intern has the opportunity to work with our professional props master and designer, working on everything from set decoration, large furniture pieces and soft goods, to smaller hand props, food, paper goods and everything in between. This intern will also be responsible the maintenance of props over the course of the run, and troubleshooting any issues.
Per diem pay is $150.00 per week. Housing is provided.
