Cortland Rep presents “Broadway on the Lake”
The Cortland Repertory Theatre Board of Directors and Guild invite one and all to attend this season’s annual fund-raiser, “Broadway on the Lake” on Saturday, July 28 at the Little York Pavilion in Dwyer Memorial Park. A change in this year’s programming allows for CRT to present a full performance of their eagerly anticipated production of “Fiddler on the Roof” on this evening.
The gala affair will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a cocktail buffet offering hearty appetizers, assorted seafood and carving stations, along with complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks. During the evening, a silent and live auction will take place with wonderful donated items by supporters of CRT and many Central New York businesses. Auction prizes include:
- Walt Disney World Park Hopper passes;
- A six hour, limo driven,12 person wine-tasting tour;
- An 8 person Robber Baron’s dinner at the 1890 House Museum;
- A 4 person Fall Weekend Get-Away package at Heron Ridge in wine country;
- An 6 hour limo ride from Superior Limousine;
- A Bonnie Castle Resort Overnight / Uncle Sam’s Boat Ride Package.
Other items include evening stays at local hotels and Bed & Breakfasts, ski packages, massages, restaurant certificates, beautiful artwork, garage door openers, many tickets to local theatre and sporting events and much, much more! Some restrictions apply to some items.
After the buffet and auction, a full two-act production of CRT’s mainstage show “Fiddler on the Roof” will be presented. Tickets for the show are reserved seating. Complimentary coffee and cookies will be available at intermission. The show will take place in the Edward Jones Playhouse on the second floor of the Pavilion, which is handicapped accessible and air conditioned. Sales have been brisk, so CRT suggests purchasing tickets soon.
